Students allocated Self Catered accommodation can take advantage of the award winning catering facilities available on Cardiff Met’s campuses by joining the Lunch Club. This is a pre-loaded card that allows the student to have a hot meal every day at a seriously reduced price.

Each of the University's catering outlets offer a range of healthy hot and cold menu items to help you achieve a balanced diet. If you have any specific dietary needs, no matter what it is speak to the Catering department and we’ll try and sort out suitable meals for you.
A sample of a typical week at the K1 Restaurant on Cyncoed Campus. Please note meals will come with either roasted veg, salad, chipped potatoes, rice, cous cous or noodles.
Monday - Pork strips served in a wrap with beansprouts and peppers - Hot Chicken Wings - Chilli Con Carne - Roasted vegetable chilli wrap
Tuesday - Roast beef and yorkies - Posh Hog with BBQ sauce - Fish in lemon and lime breadcrumbs - Feta & mushroom pasta - Vegetable roulade
Wednesday - Spicy beef tagliatelle - Moroccan butterfly chicken - Tuna steak with ginger, lemon and soy - Butternut squash and weet potato gratin - Vegetable stacks
Thursday - Lamb stew - Cajun pork chops - Street Burger of the day - Vegetable Quiche - Hot turkey baguette
Friday - Home made battered fish - Clarke's Pies (a Cardiff delicacy) - Lemon & dill chicken portions - Cheese pasties - Battered vegetarian sausages - Steak sliders
Saturday - Lamb curry - Beef curry - Selection of pizzas - Garlic Bread
Sunday - Chicken, Pork or Beef roast dinner - all served with roasted veg, stuffing, yorkshires, gravy, etc.
