Biography

Sarah works within art and design practice with a focus upon cognitive development and critical / sustainable design. Her expertise is primarily with business management with an emphasis upon art and design enterprise and business planning. Her masters research explored the role that toy design plays in the development of child cognition, and questions the behaviour, assumptions, values and worldviews that design in general promotes through its material forms.

Sarah works within the the Constellation (history, theory and philosophy) module with Cardiff School of art and design, leading the Creative Enterprise Research Proposal pathway for dissertation. She is interested in supporting art and design students in identifying niche pathways for theoretically guided practice and in promoting sustainable and responsible design through enterprise and public engagement.
