About us

​​​​​Research & Enterprise Services (RES) is based at Cardiff Metropolitan Universities Llandaff Campus, the team supports research and knowledge exchange interactions with business and the wider community. At an operational level, RES is the gateway through which external organisations can access the support and knowledge base of the University. 

We work with colleagues across Cardiff Met’s five Schools and all units on a broad range of research and knowledge transfer activities maximising the commercial and social value of the University's research.  We work with businesses through collaborationwork based learning​ , offering the opportunity for businesses to work with our students and the use of our resources and facilities​.

  • ​​Over 500 consultancy contracts were secured worth more than £1.7m.
  • 28,000 learner days of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and Continuing Education (CE) courses were delivered.
  • Designated public events such as public lectures, performance arts and exhibitions amassed in excess of 13,000 attendees.
