Innovate UK funding available

​​​​​Innovate UK is the UK’s innovation agency, it is an executive non-departmental public body sponsored by the Department for Business, Energy and  Industrial Strategy. They offer a number of funding schemes for both large and small companies.  Most of their funding schemes are competitions, the company partner contributes a proportion of the project costs. The RES team can offer support and assistance when investigating Innovate UK funding.  The schemes are:​

Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTP)

A KTP is a partnership between a company, university and a graduate (Associate) who work together to deliver a strategic project for the business which the company would be unable to do without the knowledge and expertise provided by the University. Who can apply:  Large and small companies. 

Innovation Vouchers

Innovation Vouchers worth up to £5,000 can be used for an academic to help your business grow. You can use our academics to get advice on a novel idea or to use design within your business. You can ask them to help you make the most of intellectual property (IP). You can also use Innovation Vouchers to buy time and support on specialist equipment or facilities.  Please follow the link below to get in touch with our team for more information.

Competitions

Businesses can apply to funding competitions to help develop your innovations.  They cover the following industry sectors: 

  • Emerging and enabling technologies
  • Infrastructure systems
  • Health and life sciences
  • Manufacturing and materials
