The Centre for Entrepreneurship works with a variety of organisations to help support and nurture students at Cardiff Metropolitan University.
Big Ideas Wales
The Centre receives funding from the Welsh Assembly Government through Big Ideas Wales.
The Big Ideas Wales campaign is managed by the Youth Entrepreneurship Team at The Welsh Assembly Government and aims to encourage the young people of Wales to be more entrepreneurial. The strategy pulls together various different educational policies and aims to boost the entrepreneurial skills and attitudes of the young people in Wales aged between 5- 25.

Cardiff Metropolitan University is a part of the international Santander Universities network which specialises in supporting educational institutions. The Centre for Entrepreneurship has benefitted from this partnership as Santander have sponsored Countdown to Launch, the annual business start-up week. During the five day programme students learn about the steps needed to make their business idea a reality. On the final day students are given the opportunity to pitch for a share of the prize fund which is provided by Santander. Santander also provide representatives for the panel and to deliver a workshop on business banking and access to finance.
Cardiff Met Alumni Association
We are very grateful to the Alumni Association for supporting our Flash Fund and test trading opportunities, without their financial assistance we would not be able to offer these important opportunities.
Cardiff Met Careers Service
The careers service at Cardiff Met provide help and advice for students wishing to take a more traditional graduate employment pathway. We work closely with our colleagues in the careers service to provide a joined up approach to supporting students and graduates. You will often find us in attendance at career's fests and we have delivered a number of events on collaboration.
