Fiona is the Manager of the Centre for Work Based Learning (CWBL) and has spent the last 25 years within the training and education sector. In that time she has been Head of Delivery for a large work based learning provider and ran her own training consultancy.
Fiona specialises in all aspects of work based learning that give access to Higher Education. Fiona leads on the University's Higher Apprenticeships agenda and has developed its approach to Recognising Prior Learning, CPD, accreditation and work based programmes.
Fiona has been instrumental in the development of the innovative new MA in Professional Practice, creating flexible pathways into higher learning for non-traditional learners – a passion she has followed throughout her career.

Jen has spent 13 years in the training sector, starting her career at Jobcentre Plus in the training division, and moving on to Cardiff Met in 2008 to support the establishment of the Centre for Personal & Professional Development. Whilst coordinating the Centre, she co-managed the Cardiff Open Art School, administrated and taught on the Widening Access Summer School's and supported the development of a new suite of short courses offered at the university.
In late 2011, she and Dr Peter Treadwell established the Centre for Work Based Learning at Cardiff Met, developing cutting edge solutions for businesses and individuals to develop their skills and knowledge.
Jen also runs her own holistic therapy practice and manages the University's Community Garden project. She is a tutor for the Widening Access department, and is a published author.
