I started teaching in 2003, having completed my CELTA at Bristol University. After five years teaching and developing workplace language provision at the Parade ESOL Service, and having completed my PGCE in Post-Compulsory Education and Training at UWIC, I joined the English Language Training Centre in 2008 and was appointed Director of the ELTC in October 2014. My role involves supporting the students and staff of the Centre, as well as the Associate Dean – Enterprise. As well as my management role, I also teach on the Pre-Sessional Courses and International Foundation Courses.
I have attended conferences ranging from IATEFL, ESCalate at the University of Glamorgan and Learn English in Wales. I completed my Masters in Education in 2011 when my dissertation examined the English language learning experiences of Chinese students.
In my personal life I enjoy running and have participated in the Cardiff 10k and Half Marathon.
