Louise began her career as an arts based youth and community project worker. During the last 23 years, Louise has managed a broad range of voluntary and statutory youth work projects, including a large team of street-based youth and community workers working with young people aged 11-25 across Rhondda Cynon Taff.

Louise went on to become Principal Youth Officer and Head of Services for Young People in Rhondda Cynon Taf CBC; responsible for more than eight hundred full and part-time staff and volunteers; leading the strategic and operational development of the award winning SFYP team; and overseeing a wide range of externally funded WG, ESF, Big Lottery and Arts Council Wales projects and programmes.

More recently Louise moved to Caerphilly CBC to take up the posts of Engagement and Progression Co-ordinator and Education Other Than At School (EOTAS) Co-ordinator; supporting the strategic and operational implementation of the WG Engagement and Progression Framework and supporting the provison of alternative education for young people across the county.

Louise joined Cardiff Metropolitan full time in September 2014, where Louise has had the opportunity to continue her longstanding partnership work with the Cardiff Metropolitan Youth and Community team; training and supporting youth workers and youth services across South Wales and beyond.
