Teaching

Calum Delaney (M.A, Cert MRCSLT, FHEA, HPC registered) is Senior Lecturer, Programme Leader and Head of Centre.

Originally qualified as a Speech Pathologist and Audiologist in South Africa, he teaches fluency disorders and audiology alongside clinical tutorials and research project supervision.

Research

His research interests include attitudes to fluency disorders and clinical and academic assessment.

Dr Delaney serves on several professional committees and working groups and he is an external examiner for the speech and language therapy course at Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh.

Currently he is conducting negotiations relating to the mutual recognition of qualifications on behalf of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) with representatives from the speech and language therapy associations of Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa and the USA.
