This Privacy Notice explains how the ZERO2FIVE uses your personal information and provides information on your individual rights.

In order to administer your projects and services, ZERO2FIVE collects, processes and holds personally Identifiable Information (PII) about you. The information to be processed may include:

  • Name(s)
  • Address
  • Email Address(es)
  • Telephone numbers
  • Date of birth
  • National Insurance number

GDPR does apply to personal data relating to individuals acting as sole traders, employees, partners, and company directors wherever they are individually identifiable and the information relates to them as an individual rather than as the representative of a legal person.  As such, the above noted information, may also be processed.

Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:

  • To validate project activity

We may also receive personal information indirectly, from the following sources in the following scenarios:

  • Your employer to validate project activity

The University is lawful in processing personal data for Project Helix because it is necessary for the purposes of the Legitimate Interests pursued by the Welsh Government Rural Communities – Rural Development Programme (RDP) 2014-2020, which is managed by the Welsh European Funding Office. (under Article 6 of the GDPR).

We process personal information in order to;

  • Work with you to develop and deliver knowledge transfer activity focused on innovation, food strategy and efficiency
  • Validate Project Outputs
  • Support the development of rural and valleys communities and the creation of sustainable jobs to impact on poverty throughout Wales
  • Feed into The Future Generations Act

We may share this information with Food Innovation Wales partners, the Welsh Government, the Welsh European Funding Office and the Welsh Audit Office.

Your data will be retined both manually and electronically while you are engaged with ZERO2FIVE and for a minimal period of 7 years following the end of the project. The data will then be securely destroyed in accordance with Cardiff Metropolitan University’s Records Management Policy.

You have a right to access your personal information, to object to the processing of your personal information, to rectify, to erase, to restrict and to port your personal information. Please visit the Information Commissioner Office's (ICO) website for further information in relation to your rights. You also have the right to withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of the processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
