‘In order to carry out progressive research for my final year, it has been a rewarding experience to have undertaken a three week period at the department of History and Welsh History at Bangor University in conjunction with one of the Santander Universities.
It has been immensely beneficial to have gained important data and inspiration for my theoretical work and general practice, as equally, draw upon the resources available at the special archival collection, the stacks library and the Welsh library.
I have accumulated so much knowledge in the past three weeks and I am very grateful to have been awarded a Santander Scholarship. I have enjoyed all aspects of researching, reading and conducting oral history, the support and assistance from Bangor University staff have been exceptional and I would highly recommend to future Santander mobility staff and students to consider Bangor University as their chosen host university.’
