International Sport Management

 

 

Sport has evolved into a multi-billion dollar industry that has relevance all over the world.
Sport management is about managing organisations that deliver sporting competitions, major events, and community programmes that encourage economic activity, social benefits and individual enjoyment in sport.

This module offers a fun, activity based learning experience that provides the best that the University campus and city has to offer. Students will be able to acquire knowledge and understanding of sport management and see examples of organisations delivering a wide-range of sports and physical activities during their stay. ​​

Academic staff will provide the most recent and relevant industry knowledge in ways that help students deliver a final project.

Get to know your camp-mates through collaborative tasks. Develop your leadership and communication skills and how to get the most from a team. Play, compete or receive coaching in a range of sports activities.  Learn how to structure and plan a healthy exercise programme that meets your needs, goals and interests.

English language requirement: None required, however please note that good working knoweldge of business English is expected and that all classes will be taught through the medium of English.

Academic pre-requisites: ​Qualified to study at university. Please note that the above module is aimed at all undergraduate and postgraduate students. Each one of the Sport modules will be taught separately for the duration of the summer school and cannot be attended at the same time.
