Cardiff Metropolitan University and the Cardiff School of Management is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) to offer the following courses; enabling you to become more employable and keep you up to date in your sector: 

  • CIM Certificate in Professional Marketing 
  • CIM Diploma in Professional Marketing

CIM Certificate in Professional Marketing

​The Certificate in Professional Marketing (Level 4) provides insight into what influences the behaviour of your customers, allowing you to devise integrated marketing communication strategies to enrich the customer experience. 

In order to achieve the Certificate, you will study three modules across the following dates: 

Marketing:
22nd & 23rd Sept 2018 / 13th & 14th Oct 2018

Integrated Communications:
19th & 20th Jan 2019 / 16th & 17th Feb 2019

Digital Marketing:
11th & 12th May 2019 / 1st & 2nd June 2019​


CIM Diploma in Professional Marketing

​The Diploma in Professional Marketing (Level 6) focuses on the strategic marketing planning process, giving you the ability to evaluate success through key marketing metrics and identify insights to drive informed decisions. It is considered equivalent to an undergraduate degree.

In order to achieve the Diploma, you will study three modules across the following dates: 

Strategic Marketing: 
21st and 22nd Sept 2019 / 12th & 13th Oct 2019

Mastering Metrics: 
18th & 19th Jan 2020 / 1st & 2nd Feb 2020

Digital Strategy: 
10th & 11th May 2020 / 31st May & 1st June 2020​

CIM Certificate in Professional Marketing

Marketing:
Exam in December 2018 

Integrated Communications
Assignment due March 2019 

Digital Marketing:
Assignment due June 2019

CIM Diploma in Professional Marketing

Marketing:
Exam in December 2019 

Mastering Metrics
Assignment due March 2020

Digital Strategy:
Assignment due June 2020


Entry Requirements​

CIM Certificate in Professional Marketing

Applicants should typically have one of the following:

  • CIM Level 3 Introductory Certificate in Marketing.
  • CIM Foundation Certificate in Marketing.
  •  Any relevant Level 3 qualification.
  • Any UK degree or international equivalent.
  • International Baccalaureate (equivalent to NQF Level 3 and above)
  • Professional practice (suggested one year in a marketing role) will be considered

CIM Diploma in Professional Marketing

  • CIM Certificate Professional in Marketing
  • Foundation Degree in Business with Marketing.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a recognised university, with at least one third of credits coming from marketing content (i.e. 120 credits in Bachelor's degrees or 60 credits in Master's degrees).
  • Professional practice (suggested two years marketing in an operational role) will also be considered.
