Curriculum development for new programs. Developed curriculum and successfully organised and delivered courses in the Bachelor of Business Logistics and Supply Chain Management major. Developed curriculum for new Graduate certificate in Logistics and Supply Chain Management.,

Critical engagement with pedagogical literature, reflection on current teaching practice and the application of new methods into teaching practice.  I have continued to refine my teaching practice through a continuous process of engagement with literature and students, together with reflection on teaching.  I have developed formative and summative processes to ensure quality in the courses that I teach. These allow me to make changes with immediate effect to benefit current cohorts and to embed changes at end of semester. Focus groups and brainstorming sessions with students complete the continuous improvement cycle.

Student evaluations. Student evaluations of the Logistics/SCM and Business courses reinforce my excellent teaching record. Student nominations for teaching award 2012.

Managing first-year transition. Engaged with literature and students in the development of a measure of the enablers and barriers to transition to university and student commitment to higher education. Assessment rubrics, developed through a curriculum mapping process, are now used in all courses that I teach in conjunction with assurance of learning. In 2009 I have linked assessment rubrics to on-line submission and marking of assessments.

Teaching scholarship. Published conference papers and journal articles based on my teaching practice.

Student training. Produced training videos for Griffith Resource Centre on Analysing a Case Study and Leading a Class Discussion.

Teaching citations and awards. Received Dean’s Citation for Excellence in Teaching 2010 and University Group Award for Excellence in Teaching 2011.
