Staff Overview

Dr Emmanuel K Nartey is currently Law Lecturer (Module Leader at Undergraduate and Postgraduate), Reviewer of Journal of Accounting, Auditing and Taxation and Researcher. Before joining Cardiff Met University, he served with the Royal Tank Regiment in the British Army for 17 and half years. He was the first judoka to represent Ghana at the Senior World Judo Championship in 2005 and Olympic Games in London 2012. He won 4 World Cup Gold, 2 Silver and 4 Bronze. He also won a Bronze medal at the 2012 European Open in Istanbul, 1 Commonwealth Silver and 1 Bronze medallist, before being award the British Army Sportsman of the Year in 2012 and UK Armed Force Sportsman of the Year in 2013.

Dr Nartey holds a PhD in International Law and Human Rights Law, and is National/Regional Director of International Youth Court UK and Researcher and Law Lecturer at Cardiff Met University, UK. He is also a member of the International Association of Psychological Scientists and a member of the Chartered Institution of Management. He served as Head of the Research Integrity and Research Ethics Committee at the International Women Initiatives. He is the author of the book My Olympic Dream, Accountability and Corporate Human Rights Violations in Tort and International Law and the co-author of The Successful Spirit: Top Performers Share Secrets to a Winning Mindset.
