Profile

Dr Jenkins joined Cardiff Metropolitan University in 2017 as a Senior Lecturer in Computer Games Development.  He began lecturing at Swansea Institute of Higher Education (later Swansea Metropolitan University) in 2006 and became a Senior Lecturer after the merger with the University of Wales Trinity St Davids in 2015.  He completed his PGCE in 2010 and a Postgraduate Diploma in Post Compulsory Education and Training in 2014.  His academic interests include the teaching of programming and software engineering practice along with Linux and open source software.

Research

Dr Jenkins completed his PhD in 2008 studying the application of machine learning to the modelling of anatomical joints and this remains the focus of his research.  His research interests also include the pedagogy of programming and the development and support of information literacy in Higher Education.
