Staff Overview

Judith Stockford graduated from Bournemouth University in 1987 with an Honours degree in BA Business Studies. She successfully completed the professional exams required to become a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants while working in manufacturing businesses.

Teaching

​After 15 years in practice, Judith embarked on a teaching career in 2003 at a Further Education College, teaching on programmes, including CIMA, AAT and Level 3 qualifications in Finance, Accounting and Business Studies. In 2006, Judith successfully completed a Post-Graduate Certificate of Teaching. In 2013, she joined Cardiff Metropolitan University as a lecturer in Finance, leading modules ranging from Foundation to Masters Level. She became a fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) in 2013.

Research

​Judith's research focus is on Personal Debt, Sustainable Finance and Credit Unions. She is currently completing a PhD.
