Katherine was an International Marketing Director in the high quality end of the steel and wire industry for 12 years before becoming an academic. She was the key contact in the Second Severn Crossing project for the 7 cable wire that holds the bridge together. She has an MSc in Marketing and is a programme director in Marketing Leadership and Planning for the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) as an international marketing strategy specialist.

atgyfnerthu'r bont cyfan. Mae ganddi MSc mewn Marchnata ac mae'n darlithio i'r Sefydliad Marchnata Siartredig (CIM) fel arbenigwr ar strategaethau marchnata rhyngwladol.
Katherine is particularly interested in how education development and design impacts on students' organisations.

Before coming to Cardiff Metropolitan University, Katherine spent 12 years at the University of Wales Newport Business School, which has been benchmarked as one of the leading CIM delivery centres in the UK with consistently excellent results. Her research area is in the field of nurturing talent, leadership and managing change to improve business performance and she works with companies in different sectors to support this.

Her PhD focuses on developing marketing professionals to improve business performance and bottom line profit.
