Llŷr is a Senior Lecturer in Business, Marketing and Events with the Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol. He is responsible for developing Welsh medium provision at undergraduate and postgraduate level in South East Wales and is based at both Cardiff Metropolitan University and the University of South Wales. He teaches on a number of modules at Cardiff School of Management including Research Methods, Marketing and Personal Development Planning and supervises a number of dissertation and enterprise projects. He is also responsible for marketing and recruitment activities in Welsh-medium secondary schools as part of Canolfan ABC (http://www.canolfanabc.co.uk/english.php).
His research interests include: Business Ethics (Consumer and Corporate Social Responsibility), Retail (Fashion Retail, Online Retail) and Marketing Communications (Sustainability Marketing, Online Communication, Welsh Medium Marketing and Event Marketing). He holds an MBA and MSc in Social Science Research Methods (Business & Management Studies) from Cardiff University and an MA in Modern History from the University of Oxford.
He previously worked at the ESRC Centre for Business Relationships, Accountability, Sustainability and Society (BRASS) and Cardiff Business School, Cardiff University, where he undertook research in the field of sustainability and marketing. He also co-founded a PR and public affairs company in 2006 at the age of 26, which he subsequently helped build to be the market leader in Wales.
Llŷr is a Trustee and Management Board Member of the National Eisteddfod, one of Wales' biggest events, and is a regular contributor to the media in Wales. Outside work he has a keen interest in travelling, food and films and sings with the Cardiff based mixed choir Côrdydd.
