Lyndon joined the University in 2015 and is currently a Senior Lecturer in Strategic Management.  He has industry experience of operational and management roles in small business. Lyndon held several positions in both Further and Higher education including; Senior Lecturer; Academic Subject Leader; and Associate Head of School.

At the University he teaches on undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and specialises in Strategic Management, Innovation Management, and the role played by social and network capital in organisations' activities. Lyndon also has experience of leading curriculum development and research projects. He is particularly interested in the development and delivery of organisation based leadership development and innovation management programmes.

Lyndon is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a Chartered Manager of the Chartered Management Institute. He has a BSc in Economics from the Aberystwyth University and a PhD by thesis from the University of Glamorgan. The title of his thesis is 'An Analysis of Innovation Programmes in Wales along a Hard-Soft' Policy Continuum – A Case Study Approach'. The focus of the thesis is an investigation of the levels and forms of innovation and social capital existing at innovation programmes such as the Technium project, Innovation Network Partnership and Communities First project. His current research projects use both innovation and social capital constructs to explore SME activity.

He has worked with the Welsh Government Broadband Observatory project writing case studies focussing on business use of broadband. Lyndon has also worked with organisations in the private, public and third sectors exploring the incidence of social capital and its relationship with innovative activity. This has involved working with senior management teams to enhance innovation management practices. He is currently working on a pan-Wales project exploring the role of social capital in the formation of innovative activity in public sector sponsored economic development programmes​

Research

Lyndon research interests focus upon the relationship between social capital and innovative activity in private, public and voluntary sector organisations in Wales. Research projects undertaken to date may be categorised in one of two subject areas – ecommerce/ebusiness and the implication of the presence of forms social capital for innovative activity. He has also collaborated with Business Wales undertake a survey of SMEs in South East Wales exploring social capital and its impact upon innovative activity.

Although his research typically has a Welsh focus he currently working with a Chinese academic at Fudan University to explore social capital and innovative activity amongst SMEs in the Beijing and Sanhe regions. Lyndon also leads a longitudinal study into the impact of ecommerce upon the graphic design industry in Wales. To date he has produced over fifty research outputs ranging from international conferences to book chapters and journal articles.
