Neil has been involved in the events industry for 37 years and continues to do so. As well as this for the past 30 years he has been lecturing in event management and safety.
Neil has been part of the event management team at CMU for 9 years and balances his university responsibilities along side his work in the event industry on projects such as major music festivals, world-class sporting events, the corporate world and high-end private parties. And brings the real world back in the academic environment of CMU . Neil has advised many of the councils around the UK on licensing, and has provided many table top presentations for risk and safety management on major events in and around the UK
He is frequently consulted by high-level government officials, councils and other events companies for advice and assistance. Neil's other attributes fully qualified by NEBOSH in H&S Management.
Neil is, currently working with UEFA on the delivery of the Champions League 2017 , and planning ground breaking Urban hotels for events whilst planning for other projects in 2017 from conferences to festivals .
Neil was the event safety officer for the climate summit in London 2016.
Over the past year he has been involved site and safety management for 10 other major conference's in a round the UK for clients such as the Co-op, Santander, Hyundai, Heineken, City and Guilds to name a few.
As well as this was the production manager on a number of large one off concerts this summer.
Also Neil was part of the senior management team with Radio One Big weekend, Electric Daisy Carnival , Reading Festival, BML, The Proms Hyde Park , Radio 2's festival in a Day and 4 other major festivals.
