I am currently programme director for the BA (Hons) International Tourism Management, BA (Hons) International Tourism and Events Management.
My teaching interests include entrepreneurship and small business start-ups and showing students the benefits of being enterprising.
My current teaching in the School is on the Level 6 and Masters Level Enterprise Project - where the students look into constructing a business plan for a business they are interested in and evaluate the feasibility and potential for the results they obtain. At Level 5 I lecture on Business Development and Finance and the enterprise route of the Research Skills modules. Business Development and Finance lets the students explore setting-up a small business from the initial conception of the idea and conducting their market research, to writing the business plan, and encouraging students to seek support from the Cardiff Met Centre for Student Entrepreneurship. I am also interested in major global sports and have been running a level 6 module Global Sporting Events since the 13/14 academic year.
One PhD supervision completed in 2014.
Approved Cardiff Met PhD supervisor with interests in enterprise, entrepreneurship, small business start-ups, social enterprise and measuring the impact of teaching and learning on entrepreneurial success.
