Cardiff Met students take part in a 'Global Day' held in our Cardiff School of Management last week, in a collaboration between the International Office and the Students Union.
International students from the Omani, Chinese, Indian and Bruneian societies set up stalls and displayed traditional items as well as posters, cloths and videos from their countries for all to see. Both students and staff were encouraged to sample food, try on clothing, receive henna tattoos and learn how to write Chinese characters.
The event celebrates Cardiff Met's cultural diversity and encourages integration and conversations between student groups.
Professor Mohamed Loutfi, Pro Vice-Chancellor (International) commented on the day, "it was great to see interaction between students from different courses and different cultural backgrounds. Due to the Global Day's great success, this is an event that we plan to replicate and develop in the future".
