Cardiff Met’s Got Talent

Fashion show

As part of their annual student social programme, on 10th March, the International Office hosted an International-themed party in Zen, Llandaff Campus.

Staff and students were invited to both attend and participate in the activities of the evening. The event began with a fashion show where students and International Office staff wore typical clothing from their home countries, including national dress from India, Brunei, Nigeria and Vietnam. A number of students then performed a variety of acts in the 'Cardiff Met's Got Talent Show'.

The acts included dancers, singers, Arabic musicians, and also the winner of the competition, a very talented magician from Oman.

Vice Chancellor, Professor Antony Chapman opened the event with a speech to officially welcome the newly arrived February 2014 cohorts of students to Cardiff Met and to wish them luck in their studies.

Students and staff alike thoroughly enjoyed the evening with unique opportunities to witness international fashion and talent from across the world.

Feedback from a number of students was that this was the best party they have attended since arriving in Cardiff!
