Cardiff Met Cricket Club makes it through to the Semi’s



​​Cardiff Metropolitan University Men's Cricket Club has made it through to the semi-finals after continuing their unbeaten streak in the group stages of the BUCS league. 

Throughout the group stages, Cardiff Met Men's Cricket, have not lost any of their 7 previous matches. They went into the final matches against a strong Bristol University squad knowing that if they secured a win they would be safely through to the national semi-final day. 

The matches, held in the SWALEC stadium on the 30th of November started with the Cardiff Met team losing the toss, and bowling for the first time this season. With a collective effort from the team, a disciplined bowling and fielding display restricted Bristol to 87-3 off their 10 overs. 

In the second game the team effectively executed the 'bat first game' racking up a good score of 122-4. The team went on to showcase exceptional fielding with 4 excellent run outs. 

The team now go on to the semi-finals held on the 14th of March, in Eastleigh. They hope to join the Women's Cricket Team who has already secured their place in the Finals.
