Caryl received business advice from Cardiff Met's Centre for Student Entrepreneurship whilst at university and set up her own cleaning company in 2013, graduating with a first class honours a few months later.  She took the Young Entrepreneur of the Year title at last year’s South Wales Business Awards.

Caryl said: "I’m honoured to have been selected as a category winner for the second year running. I am thoroughly enjoying being a business owner, and having my hard work recognised through awards such as these, really is the icing on the cake. I am learning every day and am passionate about continually improving my business and sharing my experience with other aspiring entrepreneurs.”

Natasha Hashimi, Entrepreneurship Education Manager at Cardiff Met, said: "We are absolutely thrilled for Caryl. She has grasped an opportunity and applied her business knowledge, hard work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit to make a real success story. To take home a title two years in a row is quite an achievement. Well done Caryl!”

The university's Centre for Student Entrepreneurship aims to help support students who are interested in starting a business as well as developing their entrepreneurial skills, to assist them in securing further employment.
