Cardiff Met Graduate Up for Small Business of the Year Award

An enterprising Cardiff School of Education and Social Policy graduate has been nominated for a top Welsh award.

Abigail Moses is founder and director of Ivy Marketing which has been shortlisted for the inaugural Welsh SME Business Awards 2017 in the Small Business of the Year category.

Abigail, who is from Dinas Powys, launched Ivy Marketing last year after graduating from Cardiff Met with a BA (Hons) in English and Contemporary Media.

She credits the university for their support, offering her tools as well as a dedicated mentor: “Starting my own business was incredibly stressful. However, knowing that I had the university’s support was wonderful. From helping me identify my core KPIs to informal chats regarding the business road map, they proved very valuable during my first year trading. 

Being nominated for Small Business of the Year Award feels wonderful. I would like to thank all of our wonderful clients who nominated us.”

Ivy Marketing works with local and national businesses, creating and distributing content across various online platforms. It bills itself as a team of bloggers, SEO specialists and digital marketers who work with clients from all types of industries.

The Welsh SME Business Awards 2017 celebrate the hard work of the best professionals and businesses in the Welsh SME business sector and generated thousands of nominations from the public.  The black tie event will be held at Portland House, Cardiff on Thursday 26th October.

A number of accolades will be awarded to the most deserving individuals and establishments, including Young Achiever of the Year, Growing Business of the Year, Entrepreneur of the Year and many more.
