Cardiff Met claim dream double Rugby win


​The Cardiff Met RFC Mens club after their win this week.

​Cardiff Metropolitan University claimed a dream double in the Blues Airbus University Cup, held at the BT Sport Arms Park on Wednesday.

The round robin competition saw university rugby teams from within the Blues regions fight for the cup. Teams included Cardiff Metropolitan, Cardiff University, Cardiff Medicals and University of South Wales.

The women's competition was fiercely contested by the University of South Wales, but the BUCS champions were crowned champions with the Cardiff Met men's team claiming their crown shortly after.

Cardiff Metropolitan University have won the Blue Airbus University cup as well as the top prize of £2,500 worth of Gilbert equipment, for the second year in a row.

Rhys Blumberg, Head of Sales and Marketing at Blues, said: "We were thrilled with how successful the entire day was.
