Cardiff Met is Wales’ biggest climber, rising seven places to 72nd in the Complete University Guide after string of achievements

The latest Complete University Guide has placed the University 72nd in its annual ranking, which is a rise of 7 places compared with last year following a series of nationally-recognised achievements in the past 12 months.

President and Vice-Chancellor, Professor Antony Chapman, said: “The increase in our position in this independent ranking reflects our significant investment in the student experience here at Cardiff Met.

“Last year, 94% of our graduates secured employment or entered further study within six months of graduation. This is the highest figure of any modern university in Wales.

For a sixth time the University has been ranked as top in the UK for international student support through the International Student Barometer; and, in research, Cardiff Met was the top modern University in the UK in quality ranking in the last Research Excellence Framework (REF), and in February it received a Queen's Anniversary Prize for Higher and Further Education.

"The fact that the number of young people applying to come to the University continues to be high is testament to those successes, and to the dedicated work of our staff.
