Cardiff Met students from Sri Lanka graduate in Cardiff

Students that have studied Cardiff Met degrees in Sri Lanka have travelled across the globe to Cardiff to attend their graduation ceremony.

38 students studying the Cardiff Met MBA course at the International College for Business and Technology (ICBT) in Sri Lanka have enjoyed celebrating the completion of their degrees at the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff.

The students graduated in the presence of Dr Jagath Alwis, Chairman of ICBT.

Cardiff Met and ICBT became partners in 2010 and in recognition of the strong relationship between the two institutions, ICBT was awarded Associate College status of Cardiff Met in 2015. Cardiff Met programmes are offered at several ICBT campuses across Sri Lanka, including Colombo and Kandy.

Professor Mohamed Loutfi, Pro Vice Chancellor (International), said:
“It was wonderful to see the University’s students from ICBT in Sri Lanka graduate in Cardiff, especially in the presence of ICBT’s Chairman. Cardiff Met continues to be committed to internationalisation and integrating all students studying Cardiff Met degrees in the UK and overseas.”
