A unique collection of work from twelve graduates artists, designers and makers who have been sharing creative start-up spaces at Cardiff School of Art and Design's Incubation Unit this past year are showcasing their work at Cardiff M.A.D.E gallery, located in Roath, Cardiff. The show opens on Wednesday 30th August and runs till Saturday, 10th September from 10am to 6pm. The opening event celebrations are from 6pm on Wednesday 1st September.
The Inc. Space, situated at Cardiff Metropolitan University, provides an opportunity for graduates to spend an additional year with the School to launch their own sustainable career as a practicing artist or designer. This show launches the work that was developed during the year and highlights how diverse practitioners from different disciplines benefited from mentorship, business entrepreneurship workshops and the full access to the University's facilities.
The show will feature an exciting range of individual work in different media. The exhibiting graduates are:

Ceramicists: Rhiannon Crowley, Chrisoula Konstantakou, Katie Weyman
Designer Makers: Sophie Adams, Alexana Blott, Alice Elliott, Sara Jenkins

Textile Designer Maker: Anna Palamer
They will be joined by fine artists Jenny Cashmore and Aidan Myers, ceramicist Kathryn Lewis and illustrator and designer Helen Turnbull who will be putting on a One Year On show having finished their year at the Inc. Space in September 2015.
Cardiff School of Art and Design's Associate Dean: Enterprise, Richard Morris, who oversees the Inc. Space said: "It has been wonderful to see how the Inc Unit group's skills and confidence had developed over the last year. The year has helped them make the successful transition from students to professional designers and artists and we've been delighted at how they've built relationships with retail outlets and promoted and their work through shows in galleries and exhibitions as far afield as Germany, Greece and Australia as well as across the UK. Welcoming back the group who left Inc. a year ago is very satisfying too and we're delighted that they have established themselves in their chosen fields."
