Students are honoured with degree awards at St David’s Hall graduation ceremony



​​Cardiff Met's latest graduation ceremony was held on the 6th of November 2015, at St David's Hall, Cardiff. A total of 370 undergraduate and postgraduate students representing 114 countries worldwide received their awards on stage. The ceremony was opened and closed by The Right Honourable The Lord Mayor of Cardiff, Councillor David Walker.

Students receiving awards from the University's President and Vice Chancellor Professor Antony Chapman, included those from Cardiff School of Art & Design, Cardiff School of Management and their partner institution – The London School of Commerce.

The ceremony included a presentation to the first cohort of students graduating on the Foundation Degree in Applied Professional Practice (FdA) which is run in partnership with the Acorn Group.

Individuals completing the Master of Design programme at Samsung Art and Design Institute (SADI) in South Korea, attended and were announced by Professor Richard Parks who made the journey from South Korea.

Six degree programmes were honoured on the day for their 100% overall satisfaction rate in the National Student Survey. Representatives from the following programmes received an award on behalf of their programme teams:

BA (Hons) Accounting & Finance

BA (Hons) English and Contemporary Media

BSc (Hons) Complementary Healthcare (with practitioner status)

BSc (Hons) Human Nutrition and Dietetics

BSc (Hons) Sport Coaching

BSc (Hons) Sport Development

The ceremony was a huge success, thanks to the 35 members of support staff that helped make the day. Cardiff Met would like to thank all of those involved and looks forward to the next ceremony in February 2016.
