Students honoured with degree awards at Cardiff City Hall graduation ceremony

Cardiff Met's latest graduation ceremony was held on the 24th February 2016, at Cardiff City Hall. A total of 260 undergraduate and postgraduate students representing 49 countries worldwide received their awards on stage.

Professor Mohamed Loutfi, Pro-Vice Chancellor (International) presented the graduates with their awards with authorisation read by Daniel Tiplady on behalf of the President & Vice-Chancellor. This was the first UK graduation ceremony presided over by Professor Loutfi, who stepped in for the President and Vice Chancellor, Professor Antony Chapman who was at Buckingham Palace receiving a Queens Anniversary Prize for Higher and Further Education for Cardiff Met's work with 3D digital scanning technologies for reconstructive surgery.

The hall boasted over 620 proud and excited friends and family who had travelled from all over the world to share the moment with the Cardiff Met graduates. After the ceremony graduates were given the opportunity to join the alumni network, buy memorabilia and photographs to remember the occasion.

The ceremony was a huge success, thanks to the support staff that helped make the day. Cardiff Met would like to thank all of those involved and looks forward to the next 8 ceremonies planned for summer 2016.
