Universal Business School (UBS) is situated at a newly built residential campus in Karjat, 65 kms from Mumbai. UBS is a division of Strive India Education Foundation (Mumbai), a Not for Profit company registered under the Indian Companies Act. The Foundation was established by 3 management professionals, Gurdip Singh Anand, a former senior manager at a number of Indian and multinational companies including Burmah Shell, Hindustan Ciba Geigy (now NOVARTIS), Executive Director of Blue Star Ltd. and Group CEO of Thakral Group, Tarun Anand, a former Board Member of the Global Innovation and Venture Board of Reuters and former Managing Director of Thomson Reuters in South Asia and Babulal Varma, Managing Director of Omkar Realtors a leading construction firm in Mumbai.
UBS has excellent links with industry, and has a Governing Body comprising over 60 eminent academics and business leaders from India and beyond. UBS prides itself on being India's first 'Green Business School', with an aim of developing effective and ethically conscious leaders who will contribute to a green economy.
