​Arriving at the Venue

Q. When do I need to arrive at the Graduation ceremony?

A. You will be required to enter the auditorium 45 minutes before the start time of your ceremony. Students must allow sufficient time to robe and have any photographs taken before the ceremony.

Q. I need to collect my tickets, where do I go?

A. There will be a Cardiff Met Reception Desk in the foyer of the venue. Please ask a member of staff for assistance.

The Ceremony

Q. How will I know what to do during the ceremony?

A. There will be a brief rehearsal before each ceremony is due to start. Please be assured that you will not go wrong during the ceremony, you will be guided throughout by marshals.

Q. What should I have with me during the ceremony?

A. You will be issued with a name card on the day of your ceremony and will need this to process. Once you have been presented and admitted to your degree, you may not actually return to the same seat that you occupied at the start. Please therefore avoid carrying handbags, cameras etc. with you into the auditorium. Please leave such items with your guests.

Q. Can I leave as soon as I cross the stage?

A. No. Graduates are expected to remain seated in the auditorium throughout the ceremony.

Q. How long does the ceremony last?

A. The ceremony lasts approximately 2 hours.
