Research at Cardiff Metropolitan University

Research is at the heart of Cardiff Metropolitan University and its Schools of Art & Design, Education, Health Sciences, Management, Sport, and PDR (International Centre for Design & Research).

Cardiff Met engages in research that is at the interface of new knowledge creation and its application. With an excellent track record in applied research, supported by a strong base of expertise and advanced scholarship, the university's research has direct application in business, industry, the professions and the community at large.

Applied research and knowledge transfer are widely recognised as key drivers in support of social, cultural and economic development, and improvement in human health. Cardiff Met's achievements in these areas have placed the institution at the forefront of developments in these fields.

World renowned organisations such as Ford (UK), Coca Cola, Nestle, Robert Bosch, Dowty Aerospace, Spire Healthcare, the Food Standards Agency and the Welsh Rugby Football Union have all featured amongst Cardiff Met's portfolio of applied research and knowledge transfer partners.
