Cardiff School of Sport is a recognised centre of excellence in the UK and has established a national and international reputation for the quality of its academic, sporting and research work.
The undergraduate and postgraduate sport degrees in the Cardiff School of Sport are structured to provide distinctive pathways which cater for individual student interests and meet the vocational requirements of an expanding marketplace. The School achieved an overall rating of 86% satisfaction in the 2016 National Student Survey. Over 98% of students are in employment or further study 6 months after graduating (DLHE). The school continues to respond to student feedback. A new sports hall opened in 2017 and further improvements scheduled for 2018 will improve the student experience still further.
In the 2014 Research Excellence Framework 87% of our submitted research was rated as 'world leading' (4*) or 'internationally excellent' (3*) and the Times Higher Education ranked the University's joint submission with Bangor University as 7th out of 51 submissions.
