Dena is a Senior Lecturer in Health Related Exercise in the Cardiff School of Sport. She is also the Pathway Leader for the BA (Hons) Educational Studies & Sport & Physical Activity degree which provides a thorough background in academic and practical studies for students intending to enter the teaching profession.  Dena joined the School in 2004 and has focused on enhancing the profile of Health Related Exercise, particularly with respect to the role of physical activity for disease prevention and control.

Dena’s main area of research interest is in the field of healthcare with a focus on enhancement of quality of life in chronic diseases.
