Bill  is a Principal Lecturer in the Cardiff School of Sport which he joined in 1993 having spent the previous 10 years lecturing in the department of Social work  (Special Educational Needs) He is responsible for the organisation delivery and continued  development of the year 1 residential programme  which is aimed at smoothing the transition into the school for new students. He also has supervisory responsibility for Phd and Masters students undertaking research dissertation work. His undergraduate teaching focusses on Outdoor activities and problem solving.
