Elizabeth is a Lecturer in Sport Management and Development in the Cardiff School of Sport. She joined the School in 2015, following 11 years of employment in public sector Education and Lifelong Learning, including 8 years within sports development. Elizabeth is a former student of the UWIC (now Cardiff Metropolitan), graduating with a BSc (Hons) in Sports Development and later returning to complete an MA in Sports Leadership and Management.

In addition, having spent a number of years working in industry Elizabeth is passionate about supporting students to develop knowledge, skills and experience that will enhance their employability following their studies.
Teaching and Supervision
Elizabeth is the Module Leader for SSP4006 – Introduction to Physical Activity and Behaviour Change and SSP6060 – Work Experience, which
runs across all modules in the School of Sport. She also contributes to the teaching of other Level 4, 5 and 6 modules across the Sports Development and Management undergraduate pathways.
Elizabeth is a Personal Tutor for Level 5 Sport Management students and supervise Level 6 students with their undergraduate dissertations.

Elizabeth is the Chair of the Sport Wales Community Chest panel for Caerphilly CB. The voluntary panel sits 5 times per year to distribute £180,000 to organisations increasing participation in sport and physical activity.
Elizabeth is a Director at Valleys Gymnastics Academy in Blackwood, Caerphilly. The club currently delivers gymnastics based activities to over 2,000 members in various locations across South East Wales.
Sport / Coaching Profile
Elizabeth was an artistic gymnast from an early ages competing in all levels of competition and attending international training camps in Germany and Russia. Between 2002 and 2004 Elizabeth was Captain of the UWIC Gymnastics Team, and in 2004 received the Frank Cartmell Trophy for 'Best Sports Administrator'. Elizabeth is now a Level 3 Women's Artistic coach, although specialises in judging (officiating) the sport holding a National (Level 3) qualification for Women's Artistic and a Regional (Level 2) qualification for Men's Artistic and regularly attends both national and international events.
