Joe is the senior technician in the performance analysis department. As one of the first undergraduates to graduate our Sports Performance Analysis course, he made an impression with his troubleshooting skills. Joe honed his skills during the practical work based learning element of the Sports Performance Analysis (SPA) course. This is where Joe now provides support for current students with their internal placements with in Cardiff Met Sports.
Outside of the university Joe coaches climbing to young climbers who are competing not only on the national stage but on the international stage as well. His analytical athlete centred approach is helping to develop many young athletes.
Research / Publications
As Joe is still relatively young in his academic career, the scope of his current research is limited to his dissertation. However, Joe is interested in looking at the importance of practical learning in the field of performance analysis. Data visualisation and the importance of player led Performance analysis.

Sport / Coaching Profile
After competing for many years as a climber, Joe now coaches some of Wales top young climbers. This climbers are not only competing on the national stage but are challenging the very best international climbers.
