Ray has been the Dissertation Coordinator since 2010. Working alongside Area Dissertation Coordinators, Year 3 Tutors and the more than 70 Dissertation Supervisors, he plays a key role in supporting students through the dissertation process.

Ray has been a member of several validation/revalidation panels within Cardiff Met.
He has provided Performance Analysis support and training to various organisations including the British Canoe Union, UK Sports Institute, sportscoach UK, Badminton England, Canoe Wales, Lawn Tennis Association, Welsh Rugby Union and the England and Wales Cricket Board.
He is a member of Canoe Wales's National Coaching and Competition Committee
He is a reviewer for the Journal of Sports Sciences and the International Journal of Performance Analysis of Sport
