Suzy is a lecturer in Sport Development and Performance Sport. 

She joined the school in 2011 following the completion of a BSc and MSc at the university, in Sport Development and Physical Activity and Health respectively. 

Working alongside the programme director she has contributed to the design of the new Sport Development course and is now part of the delivery team for these.

Suzy continues to balance teaching at the university with her Netball playing commitments. Currently she is part of the Celtic Dragons franchise playing in the national Netball Super League and is the current Wales captain.​


Research / Publications

My main research interest focuses on how sport can be used as a vehicle for the development of people. I am also interested in how sport impacts on health and the application of sport policy into practice.

Teaching and Supervision

I am the module leader for Problem-Based Learning in Sport Development (SSP4005), Sport Development in Practice (SSP5056), and Analysis and Application in Netball (SSP6075) and activity leader for Netball for the modules: Introduction to Applied Principles and Techniques in Professional Practice (SSP4001), and Sport Techniques and Analysis (SSP5067). I also teach on Introduction to Sport Development (SSP4004). I am a Level 4 and 6 Year tutor and Level 4 and 6 personal tutor for Sport Development students and supervise undergraduate dissertation students.
