Applicant Days

Group of students on campus

This is the capital of community, of meeting future course friends, of big smiles. This is the capital of finding your place.

Our Applicant Days are the perfect chance for you to get immersed into life at Cardiff Met. You will get a taster of the course you’ve applied for, experience our high quality teaching and facilities, as well as meet staff and students to chat all things Cardiff Met.

A range of support services from across the University will also be on hand to chat to, including accommodation, performance sport, Welsh language study, and more.

As dates are confirmed, our Admissions Team will be in touch with all the details you need to register your place.

Please note: some applicant days may differ depending on the course applied for. All invitations will outline the specific programme you can expect on the day.

Top tips to make the most of your day:

Engage in your practical session. Make the most of learning what it’s like to study the course you’ve applied for.

Chat with our students. Who better to speak to than someone who is already studying with us? Our student ambassadors will be around all day to answer any questions you have.

Chat with our staff. Have a specific question about your course? Our teaching teams are here to help.

Take the tour. Don’t forget to grab a campus tour to see our facilities, study and social spaces.

Not from the local area? Plan in some time to explore our fantastic capital city – a small and easy to navigate space, and a place we hope you’ll want to call home.

And finally, grab a free Welsh cake on us!
