The following FAQs will hopefully answer any queries you may have in relation to coming to see us on an Open Day. Please contact us if you have a question that is not listed here.

Which Open Day should I attend?

Do I have to book to attend an Open Day or can I just turn up?

It is essential that you book before attending any of our open days. This allows us to make all the necessary arrangements for your visit and ensure you get the best experience you can when you get here. To book a place, please click here.

How do I book onto an Open Day?

You can book onto an open day by registering online at: If you experience any difficulties booking online, please contact our Open Day Officer on 029 2041 6042 or by emailing us at

When will I receive confirmation of my booking?

Online Bookings: If you have made a booking online, you will receive confirmation of your booking immediately on screen. You will also receive an email confirming your booking within 15-30 minutes, to the email address you provided when registering.

We will also be in touch approximately two weeks prior to your open day to re-confirm all details along with other important information.

Telephone Bookings: If you have made a booking by telephone, you will receive an email confirming your booking within 15-30 minutes to the email address you provide at the time of booking. If you do not provide, or do not have an email address you will receive confirmation of your booking by post to the address you have given us two weeks prior to the open day.

Can I change or cancel my booking?

Yes, if you wish to change any details relating to your booking, you can do this online at: Simply login with the details you entered when you originally booked to manage your booking.

What time will the Open Day begin?

All of our open days will run differently depending on which one you attend. For a full list of open day dates and times please visit: However you will be sent all the necessary information approximately two weeks prior to the event. This will be sent via e-mail, if you have provided an email address, or by standard post if we hold no email address for you.

On the Open Day, will I be able to ask students who are currently studying at Cardiff Met any questions I may have?

Yes, at all Open Days we have a team of student ambassadors available throughout the day who can tell you exactly what it is like studying with us. You can also visit our Student Blogs website for more insight into life at Cardiff Met.

Are any of the Open Days by official invite only?

Yes, anyone who applies to study Sport will be invited to a Sport Specific Applicant Day.

If you apply to study one of our Art and Design courses, you will also be invited to attend an Art and Design Interview Day.

We also run applicant days for most of our other undergraduate courses which you will be invited to attend as part of your application.

When invited you are expected to attend the applicant/interview day to show your commitment to applying for the course.
