Student Mentor

Student Mentors work with Year 10 pupils to deliver weekly one-to-one mentoring in secondary schools.

Mentors are supported by our First Campus team and trained to support pupils to achieve their goals and aspirations for the future.

Becoming a student mentor is an opportunity to become role model for a young person at a critical time in their education. By providing them with guidance and sharing your experiences, you can help them overcome the barriers between them and a successful future.

Mentoring can be both challenging and extremely rewarding. It will help you develop your communication and leadership skills, while gaining experience of working with young people and in a school setting.

This helps prospective students to understand more about our courses, the student experience, our facilities and what the local area has to offer.

Student bloggers represent the university online and in our publications. It's a flexible role that can play to your individual strengths – duties could range from coming up with blog ideas and taking part in social media takeovers to starring in videos and photoshoots, depending on your skills.

The student blogger role is a great opportunity to develop your communications skills and creativity, while gaining experience of working to briefs and deadlines.
