We provide comprehensive support to disabled students, promoting inclusivity, and ensuring equal opportunities for all.  If you have a disability, long-term medical condition you can access support.

Advice and support is free to access and is available from application to graduation. Please do not hesitate to contact us.

Prospective Students

We encourage prospective students to share information on disability at the earliest opportunity. 

You can also declare a disability on your UCAS application and also on enrolment. If you share information on your UCAS form, our team will get in touch with you before you start your course.

All support and advice will be tailored to your specific needs.

Individual Exam Arrangements

Based on evidence and normal ways of working, we can consider, extra time, discussions around alternative assessment and use of technology.

You will need to opt in this support as soon as you arrive at University to ensure this is in place for the next exam period and all subsequent exam periods 

Other support

 Other support might include:

  • reasonable adjustments – extra time, recorded lectures etc
  • library support
  • access to session materials at least 24 hours in advance
  • help with Academic writing Assignment planning and motivation skills 
  • equipment loans, including digital voice recorder, laptops and Assistive Technology Advice 

The DSA provides funding for equipment, software, and personal support workers, if appropriate, to help you overcome any specific challenges related to your disability.
