Bright Ideas Guidelines

Purpose of Suggestion Scheme

The purpose of the scheme is to give staff, students and visitors the opportunity to make positive suggestions that may improve their experience and that of others at Cardiff Metropolitan University.

Suggestions do not need to involve grand schemes or affect the whole of Cardiff Metropolitan University.  Ideas for consideration may relate to your everyday experience such as your work or study environment, customer care, quality issues, efficiency, income generation or new ideas for marketing or publicity. All suggestions will be given due consideration.

How and By Whom

Suggestions may be made online or via suggestion cards and dedicated post boxes which are located on every campus.

Whichever way you choose to send your suggestion you will be sent an acknowledgement within 5 working days of its receipt by the scheme administrator.

The administrator will then forward your suggestion to the most appropriate School or Unit for consideration, each of which has a nominated Champion who will undertake to discuss and progress your idea. This Champion will be your main point of contact whilst your suggestion is being considered and he/she will inform you of its outcome within twenty working days of receiving it.

If your idea is such that it requires further consideration you will, within the  twenty days, be given an extended end date and will receive regular up-dates from the Champion on the progress of your idea.
Information on all ideas that are taken up by Cardiff Metropolitan University will be published at regular intervals.
