Seminar Series - Contract Cheating within HE

With the increased prevalence of contract cheating and unfair practice across the sector, this session explored what can be done to mitigate this, especially in terms of teaching and assessment methods.

Learning outcomes
• Raise awareness of contract cheating.
• Explore effective strategies/activities that can be implemented to address the issue(s).

The keynote speaker was Irene Glendinning (please click for bio), the Academic Manager for Student Experience at Coventry University.

Irene’s work includes roles lecturing in computer science, management of portfolio’s and principal investigator for an EU funded Erasmus Lifelong Learning programme project 'Impact of policies for Plagiarism in Higher Education across Europe' (IPPHEAE).

Irene’s current research is developing the Academic Integrity Maturity Model tool she created for IPPHEAE to apply to evaluate the maturity of institutional policies for academic integrity.
