Cardiff Met Sport offer a range of sports academies for children aged 5 years and above.  Each academy runs over an eight to twelve week period during the three school terms.  All academies are run under the instruction of our fully qualified (and DBS checked) sports coaches.

Term dates - This is a guideline only, dates may vary for different academies:

  • September to December

  • January to March

  • April to June

Cardiff Met implements an academy structure within the individual sports.  This structure allows for the continued development within each sport, from grass roots level through to the elite end of the spectrum.

Through these academies children will have the opportunity to progress through a structured development route under the direction of the sports director of their chosen academy.

Sport Wales has acknowledged the quality of these development programmes by awarding each academy a Sportsmatch award aimed particularly at developing the grass roots section of each academy.
